This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, HBX Parts Doo uses on www.hbxparts.com (the “Portal”), why we use them and how you can control them. For how we process personal data in general, see our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Local storage is a similar browser feature that lets a website keep information on your device. Some of these technologies are needed for a website to work; others, such as analytics, are only used with your consent.

2. Our approach

We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage without asking, because the Portal cannot work without them: for example, to keep you signed in and to remember your cart. Analytics only runs if you choose “Accept analytics” in our cookie banner. We do not use advertising, retargeting or social media tracking cookies.

3. Strictly necessary cookies

These first-party cookies are set by www.hbxparts.com. Because they are strictly necessary for services you request, they do not require your consent.

4. Local storage

The Portal also keeps the following entries in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device and are not sent to us automatically.

Our staff back office uses further local storage entries (for example drafts and display preferences). These are only created on the devices of HBX staff.

5. Analytics (only with your consent)

If you choose “Accept analytics”, we use two analytics tools:

First-party usage statistics: the Portal tells us when a product is viewed or added to the cart and when a search is run. We store this as daily counts per product or search term, country and, if you are signed in, customer number. This sets no cookie other than analytics_consent.
Vercel Web Analytics (Vercel Inc.): measures page views, including the page, the referring page, browser, operating system, device type and approximate location. It does not use cookies; visits are recognised using a hash derived from the request, which is discarded after 24 hours.

If you choose “Necessary only”, or make no choice, neither tool is used. More details are in our Privacy Policy.

6. Third-party content and links

Google Maps: the map on our home page is only loaded when you click “Show map”. Google then receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, as described in Google's Privacy Policy.
WhatsApp: the WhatsApp button is a plain link. No data is sent to WhatsApp until you click it.
Chat assistant: the chat does not set cookies. The chat session identifier is kept only in your open browser tab.

7. How to change your choices

You can change or withdraw your analytics consent at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page, or with the button below. You can also delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings, and set your browser to block cookies. If you block strictly necessary cookies, signing in and other parts of the Portal will not work.

8. Changes and contact
